Heads up, Bryn Mawr residents! CenterPoint Energy is upgrading gas service lines in your area. Crews are moving meters outside and connecting service lines to the new main. If you live south of Cedar Lake Road S., including on Mount View, Russel, and Queen Avenues, you might have seen them already. This phase of the project is expected to finish by Wednesday, Oct. 30, as reported by CenterPoint Energy.

Residents along Cedar Lake Road between Upton Avenue S. and Penn Avenue S., plus those on Queen Avenue S between W. Laurel Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, can also breathe a sigh of relief. Construction there is expected to finally wind down this week, as detailed by CenterPoint Energy. And once that's all squared away, the crews are primed to quickly move northwest—specifically to Vincent Avenue N. and Washburn Avenue N., between Glenwood Avenue N. and Chestnut Avenue N.

And because no construction project is complete without a follow-up, CenterPoint Energy's restoration partner, Q3, is gearing up to swiftly trail behind the construction crews in the coming weeks. They'll be restoring any bits of the urban landscape that got shuffled during the heavy lifting.
