Chandler's Veterans Oasis Park is once again the hub for harmonies and horizons as it welcomes back the Sonoran Sunset Series, the beloved live outdoor concert tradition. Kicking off on Oct. 17, the events invite you to a symphony of sounds blended seamlessly with the natural backdrop of the park's amphitheater under the Arizona sky, as announced on the City of Chandler official website. The musical soirées, free to the public, are ringing in the autumn season, featuring a variety of local musicians prepared to entertain an audience of all ages and tastes in music.
Mark your calendars because these concerts are set for the third Thursday of every month, running from Oct. 17 to March 20, promptly starting at 6 and winding down by 7:30 p.m. The lineup boasts a slew of local talents, offering a diverse palette of genres. From the foot-tapping strings of Pick & Holler to the eclectic vibes of What's Left, each session promises a unique auditory experience. According to the Chandler Recreation Coordinator, Theo Anglin, in a statement obtained by the City of Chandler, "The Sonoran Sunset Series embraces the connection between live music and nature at this free alfresco event."
For those who'd like to get comfy on the grassy knolls of the park, seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. Feel free to pack snacks, dinners to enjoy, and small coolers, but leave the alcohol at home; it's not permitted in the park.
The full musical itinerary includes a spread that will beckon you through Chandler's cooler months. Traveler will close the series on March 20, bringing their nomadic tunes to the outdoor stage. All events will take place amidst the charming environs of Veterans Oasis Park, nestled at 4050 E. Chandler Heights Rd.
