Chanhassen residents should brace for some minor disruptions starting this Thursday, as the City embarks on infrastructural upgrades near a popular community hub. The City of Chanhassen announced via social media that a storm sewer and pavement replacement project is slated to begin on October 24 at the Rec Center entrance off Coulter Blvd. To accommodate this necessary overhaul, vehicles usually streaming towards the Rec Center will need to divert their usual path, temporarily taking a detour through Bluff Creek Elementary’s bus loop.
While the construction might pose an inconvenience, the Rec Center will continue to operate as per its regular schedule. According to the City of Chanhassen, Minnesota Government, "During this time, the Rec Center will remain open at its normal hours." Patrons should prepare to momentarily adjust their routines, as the city works to seamlessly conduct the necessary repairs with an estimated completion window of two to three weeks. The city urges the public to heed the construction signage that will guide them through the alternate route during the project duration.
