
Following an incident that unfolded over the weekend, an individual has been taken into custody in connection to a shooting in Chicago that resulted in one person being wounded. Tevon Jackson, a 24-year-old from the 6700 block of N. Bosworth Ave., is facing two counts of felony aggravated battery for discharging a firearm, as confirmed by the Chicago Police Department.
The incident, which police reports have detailed, saw Jackson apparently open fire in the direction of two individuals. This altercation, which took place on October 28, managed to leave a 24-year-old male with injuries at the 1200 block of W. The offender's apprehension occurred shortly after the occurrence, at around 2:20 p.m. near the 6400 block of N. Sheridan Rd.
Jackson's detention hearing is scheduled for today at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. While the circumstances preceding the altercation remain unclear, the police acted on identification processes that concluded with Jackson's arrest. He was placed in custody and charged accordingly.
