A 20-year-old man from Cicero, identified as Jeffery Campos, has been charged in connection with the shooting death of a 24-year-old male in the River North neighborhood of Chicago. According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident occurred on October 5 and led to the arrest of Campos shortly after the crime took place.
The accused faces one felony count of first-degree murder and an additional felony count for aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon without a Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card, as detailed by the CPD. The apprehension happened at approximately 3:52 a.m. on the 0-100 block of W. Kinzie St., a mere twelve minutes after the reported shooting on the 0-100 block of W. Hubbard St.
