Property owners in Clackamas County are reminded that the deadline for property tax payments is approaching. Several payment options are available to meet varying preferences, and both traditional and digital methods are being offered to ensure convenience for all taxpayers, as per the Clackamas County website.

For those opting to pay in person, a drop box is located outside the county offices at 150 Beavercreek Road in Oregon City. Additionally, a temporary drive-up drop box will be available from November 1 through November 15. This option allows taxpayers to submit payments quickly without needing to leave their vehicles.

Online payments can be made through the county’s website, where credit and debit cards are accepted. However, taxpayers are advised to be aware that processing fees are not covered by the county. The county recommends scheduling payments early to allow banks sufficient time to process transactions ahead of the November 15 deadline.

Those mailing payments are reminded to avoid sending cash and to include a check with the payment stub in the return envelope. Checks should be made payable to the Clackamas County Tax Collector and must carry a postmark dated no later than November 15, 2024, to be considered on time.

The county’s Tax Collector’s Office will also accept payments in person. The office will operate Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Friday, November 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Payments are the only transactions available during these hours.

Property owners who pay their taxes in full by November 15 will receive a 3% discount on their total amount. Alternatively, payments can be divided into three installments; however, this option does not qualify for the discount.

The county is also promoting a paperless option through eNoticesOnline. Property owners can register for the service using a unique code provided on their tax statements. This digital delivery method offers faster access to tax documents and helps reduce paper usage.
