Following a violent incident at Twin Creek Apartments in Clackamas, the Sheriff's Office has made arrests in connection with the assault that led to the death of 43-year-old Tristan Salvadore Thomas. According to a statement from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Thomas succumbed to his injuries on October 3, after being found with multiple stab wounds in the apartment complex parking lot late on September 21.
Deputies responded to the scene prior to 11:30 p.m., where they attempted to provide urgent medical aid to Thomas before his transportation to a local hospital. Chad Michael Westover, a 52-year-old from Oregon City, has been identified as the assailant in the stabbing that took place during an altercation with Thomas. Westover was initially arrested on first-degree assault charges on September 26, and after posting a $75,000 bail, was released on September 28.
The subsequent death of Thomas has led to Westover's re-arrest. Last Friday, authorities took him into custody at the Clackamas County Courthouse, with charges now escalated to include second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and tampering with physical evidence. He is currently being held without bail.
Furthermore, a second suspect, Samantha S. Christensen, at the age of 48 from Happy Valley, surrendered herself to the Clackamas County Jail yesterday. She faces charges of first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, hindering prosecution, and interference with making a report, she is being held on a $250,000 bail.
