Horton, known for being the largest homebuilder in the United States, has made a significant move by purchasing a 41,000-square-foot office building along Chandler's Price Corridor, a choice that marks an expansion of their local operations. As detailed in a statement made by the City of Chandler, the company is set to begin tenant improvements immediately with a target completion date set for April 2025.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke expressed his enthusiasm for the transaction, praising the move by stating, "We are thrilled to see another large Fortune 500 company like D.R. Horton commit to the office market in our coveted Price Corridor," notably adding that this acquisition will fuel momentum for future office projects in the area, as per the City of Chandler. Brent Davis, D.R. Horton Phoenix East Division President, voiced a similar sentiment regarding the strategic location of the new division headquarters, pointing to the benefits for team members and the proximity to East Valley communities, their statement attested to the collaboration between D.R. Horton, the City of Chandler, and EQT Exeter for their roles in facilitating the deal.
