A Danville neighborhood is on high alert after police conducted a hunt for a suspicious individual early this morning. According to a social media post by the Danville Police Department, at around 2:36 AM, a Middle Eastern male dressed in a blue hoodie and blue pants who seemed disoriented and was on the run was reported in the backyard of a residence on the 600 block of Park Hill Road. The man, seen with what may have been a handgun, asked a witness to call the police.
The search for the individual involved Danville officers, Sheriff's Deputies, and a K9 unit running door-to-door inquiries. Despite the aides of a high-tech search, including a drone equipped with thermal imaging, the man remains at large. The police have reassured residents that they will maintain a heightened presence in the area to ensure public safety, as noted in the Danville Police Department's Facebook post.
