Commuters in DeKalb County should prepare for ongoing disruptions as the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) has announced an extended closure of North Carter Road. The section between Forrest Boulevard and Chester Way will remain closed until November 30 due to ongoing construction for the Scott Boulevard Water Main Replacement Project Phase III, as reported by the county's official news release.
The extended roadwork is expected to lead to delays for motorists using this busy route. According to DWM, traffic signs and flaggers will be positioned to manage traffic and ensure safety near the construction site. Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes if possible.
The Department of Watershed Management is encouraging residents to stay informed about the project's progress. Updates are available on the DWM website, and inquiries can be directed to their dedicated phone line at 1-800-986-1108 or via email at [email protected].
