At the recent Dewey-Humboldt Trunk or Treat event, local law enforcement brought in more than just security, they brought in the stars of the show: Deputy Do Right and his furry companion, K-9 Tex. On the evening of October 26th, the pair captured the hearts of numerous youngsters as they became the center of photos and affection. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO), known for their community involvement, received an outpouring of support from locals grateful for their service, according to their official press release.
Children attending the event flocked around Deputy Do Right and Tex, hoping for a chance to stroke the K-9 and snap a memorable photo. The YCSO didn't just come bearing their star deputies, however, they came equipped with candy and YCSO-branded gear like trooper hats, the ever-popular Deputy Do Right stickers and tattoos. The handouts, including K-9 Jr. Deputy stickers, were quite the hit among the juniors looking to emulate their local heroes. While there was no space left untouched by excitement, I should note, that there was also a notable emphasis on the community's appreciation for the safety provided by these officers and their four-legged partners.
"It truly was a great evening for us, and we thank the many Dewey-Humboldt residents who offered us kind words of support for the protection we provide to their community," the YCSO stated.
