In a late-night incident that occurred last week, Detroit police have turned to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect behind the break-in and robbery of an east side spa. Audacy's WWJ Newsradio reported that the robbery took place just before the stroke of midnight on October 16, at an establishment on Gratiot near McNichols.
The suspect is said to have arrived at the scene in a silver Chrysler Town & Country minivan which was noted for having passenger side damage, and it was around 11:45 p.m. when the incident occurred; the details of which only came to light following police reports and local news coverage. With a description portraying him as clean-shaven and decked in a black jacket adorned with a gray hood, featured with black and white writing, he also bore a dark-colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes at the scene of the crime.
While particulars about the spa, including its name and the stolen items' worth remain undisclosed, Detroit police swiftly released a photo of the individual believed to be the perpetrator. They have urged anyone who can identify the man or the damaged minivan, or furnish information about the robbery, to make contact with the Detroit Police Department’s 9th Precinct by calling 313-596-5940.
