A traffic accident in El Paso has claimed the life of a driver, marking the city's 56th traffic fatality of the year. Last Sunday, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Edgemere Boulevard and War Arrow, leading to serious injuries for one driver who later died as a result of the collision.
According to the City of El Paso, the crash occurred when Israel Josaiah, driving a Ford Mustang southbound on the 3400 block of War Arrow, attempted to turn onto Edgemere. Josaiah failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming Ford F150 driven by Isaiah Jimenez resulting, in a T-bone collision. The failure to yield the right of way is cited as the main contributing factor in this incident.
Josaiah sustained serious injuries from the collision. He was later pronounced dead, becoming the city's 56th traffic fatality of 2024, which is, slightly lower than last year's count of 62 fatalities around the same time.
