Travelers through Pima County should prepare for some disruptions early next week, as roadwork is slated to hit General Hitchcock Highway. From Monday, Oct. 21 to Wednesday, Oct. 23, guardrail repair will take place at Milepost 22 and Molino Canyon Vista, and again at Milepost 13, according to the Pima County Newsroom. The repairs will be carried out by Southern Arizona Paving, under the aegis of the Pima County Department of Transportation, during the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on each of those days.
While work is underway, Pima County Sheriff's Deputies and flaggers will be on hand actively managing traffic. Drivers should expect lane closures, and potential delays as traffic snarls and work crews perform their tasks, so it will be wise to budget extra time for traversing these areas.
