A fatal collision involving a pedestrian took place in Summerlin on Tuesday evening, as reported by Nevada State Police. The tragic event occurred before 8:40 p.m. on eastbound Charleston Boulevard, just east of the 215 Beltway, near the vicinity of the Red Rock Casino, FOX5 stated.
Details from the scene indicate that an adult male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, and despite being rapidly transported to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene, and is now cooperating with the investigative efforts of the law enforcement, according to information confirmed by Trooper Shawn Haggstrom, News3LV reported.
The aftermath of the crash had immediate implications for traffic in the surrounding area, leading authorities to shut down all eastbound travel lanes on Charleston, east of the CC215, as stated in a post from @NVStatePolice on X.
