A Folsom resident was apprehended last weekend after allegations emerged that he sexually assaulted two teenagers on different occasions. Dakota Anderson, 24, finds himself in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, facing two counts of second-degree rape, as Fox8Live reported.
The separate incidents took place within a home in Loranger. One of victims had a familial connection to Anderson, suggesting a perilous trust that was grievously betrayed. Calls have been made for more information regarding the case to assist the ongoing investigation. Individuals with knowledge of the case are urged to contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, as stated in the angipahoa Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Public Information Office's Facebook post.
Further details revealed by WDSU indicate that the alleged attacks occurred in June, with the first victim being 17-year-old and the second, a week later, at 16 years old. It was also mentioned that the two victims are friends, which adds another layer of complexity and tragedy to the case.
Sheriff Gerald Sticker underscored the importance of reporting such heinous acts. "Our Criminal Investigations Division can be reached at 985-902-2008 or, as always, in the case of an emergency, call 911," he implored citizens in a statement issued by the sheriff's office. The sheriff encourages any victims of violence, and particularly children, to come forward with their accounts for an investigation, reiterating the stance that the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office stands ready to listen and react.
