In an ongoing investigation into alleged custodial sexual misconduct at Green Hill School, Chehalis police have taken former juvenile correction facility guard Michelle Goodman into custody. Goodman, 31, was apprehended on Wednesday and is suspected of engaging in sexual relations with a 23-year-old inmate back in January 2024, as reported by KING 5.
This incident is not isolated within Green Hill, as this year alone, it marks the third occasion a juvenile detention employee has been arrested on sexual misconduct charges, as FOX 13 Seattle recounts Goodman worked for the Department of Children, Youth, and Families prior to her arrest the facility is designated for older juvenile offenders who are not yet under the purview of the Department of Corrections, Goodman, who hails from Centralia, now faces criminal charges as well as a civil lawsuit from her alleged victim.
Significant evidence has surfaced in the case, with prosecutors citing screenshots that manifest Goodman's involvement in the acts; they depict Goodman's visage and show her in various compromising positions alongside the inmate, as per KOMO News. These images, allegedly taken in one of the staff bathrooms at Green Hill, show Goodman wearing different outfits indicating multiple instances of contact. At her initial court appearance, the bond was set at $100,000.
Goodman used her position of power to force the inmate to continue engaging in a sexual relationship, explains the lawsuit which also purports that she coerced the inmate into filming their encounters with threats of retaliation, this according to terrifying allegations made by the inmate's legal representation, the inmate feared retribution and personal harm for noncompliance with Goodman's demands with the lawyers claiming she insisted on being recorded during the sexual acts.
