Mark your calendars for a spooktacular time at Plymouth Ice Center this Halloween where the City of Plymouth is teaming up with the Wayzata Youth Hockey Association to offer a free Halloween Open Skate event. According to an announcement on the city's official website, the festivities will skate into action 5:15-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 at 3650 Plymouth Blvd.
All skill levels are welcome on the ice, with free skate rentals available on a first-come, first-served basis, as the website details. Halloween revelers can dive into the spirit by donning their best costumes, and while supplies last, Minnesota Orthodontics is providing treat bags to sweeten the deal.
In the spirit of inclusivity, no registration is required, leaving the door open for anyone who wants to glide into the holiday fun. It’s an opportunity for the community to come together, share smiles, and create memories against a backdrop of festivity and friendly chills.
Attendees should be aware, however, that getting to the Plymouth Ice Center might require a bit of navigation due to road construction. Plymouth Boulevard is undergoing changes, and the southern approach via Highway 55 will be blocked. Detailed detour maps showcasing alternative routes via Rockford Road or Vicksburg Lane are available for viewing at the city's website. With a little pre-planning, the ice awaits.
