The Clayton County Police Department had responded to a report of a shooting at a north Clayton County apartment complex on April 3, 2019, where they discovered Robert Ragland with a fatal gunshot wound to the abdomen. An April 2024 press release from the CCPD cited by News-Daily, indicated that Williams allegedly lured Ragland to the site of the shooting as part of a plot to rob him, resulting in his death.
