FOX 5 Atlanta reports that Gucci, dubbed the "East Atlanta Santa," has been enlisted by the Hawks, who consider him "one of the most influential rappers of the past decade."
Known for his chart-topping hits, Gucci Mane expressed his enthusiasm, "The energy is always electric at State Farm Arena, and I am sure to put on a performance that will be incredibly memorable for all Hawks' fans," he told AJC. The rapper is familiar with the court, having last performed at a Hawks home game this past spring against the Memphis Grizzlies. His connection to the arena was established in 2016 when he proposed to his wife, Keyshia Ka'oir, there.
In recognition of their fans and to mark a special milestone, the Hawks have prepared an additional feature. The first 3,000 supporters through the gates will receive a "3K Voice of the Hawks" pin, celebrating broadcaster Steve Holman's 3,000th consecutive game behind the mic, as noted by FOX 5 Atlanta.
