A new sports bar taking shape on Concourse Parkway in Douglasville wants to be more than a place to watch the game — it is being built as a working radio studio, podcast stage and neighborhood hangout rolled into one. Pour Your Decisions Sportsbar is aiming to open around Jan. 1, 2027, at 7090 Concourse Pkwy., Suite B, with a concept that pairs bar food and drinks with live broadcasts from a local radio station.
The venue is described as a sports bar, media outlet and social space, according to businessdebut.com. The person behind the project is Kelz Markkell, who also operates Hits 92.3, a radio station that is set to broadcast live from the space during the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Markkell is also described as working as a dance instructor and event curator, according to reporting from WhatNow. The bar's Instagram has described its intended value proposition as offering ’90s-style value without today's crazy prices, per that same WhatNow report.
Podcasts, Live Radio and a Built-In Audience
Beyond the Hits 92.3 slot, the bar plans to run podcasts and live radio shows in front of a live audience, turning typical dead afternoons into programmed content. The kitchen is expected to open at 5 p.m. daily, with wings, tacos and other bar staples on the menu, per the same account. Guests will also be able to access a discounted buffet rate at a neighboring buffet on certain weekdays when they purchase drinks at Pour Your Decisions, though detailed operating hours have not yet been announced.
The weekly lineup leans into variety nights rather than a standard sports-bar rotation. Planned programming includes happy hour, multicultural and LGBT nights, and karaoke, alongside a Monday co-ed relationship panel powered by Hits 92.3, the report notes.
Founding Memberships Already Sold
Before the doors have opened, the bar has already sold founding memberships this year. Purchasing a $30 T-shirt or $50 hoodie confers member status, with the program capped at 250 members, according to businessdebut.com's reporting. Those founding members are promised a 10 percent discount on their dine-in food subtotal for 2027, a free quarterly buffet, and first notice of upcoming events.
Markkell has said the project remains on schedule, even as construction and setup work continue, though the outlet's report cautions that delays could still affect the planned opening date. A publicly available city business-license report for November 2025 lists Atlantic Buffet of Douglasville as the active commercial tenant at 7090 Concourse Pkwy., but that document does not reference Pour Your Decisions or its licensing status, according to the City of Douglasville.
Markkell's pitch for the space is a neighborhood sports bar that doubles as a broadcast hub, giving Douglasville residents a spot to grab tacos and wings while watching a podcast or relationship panel get recorded live a few feet away. With the kitchen plans, membership perks and weekly programming already lined up, the remaining question is simply whether construction stays on pace for the targeted January opening.
