Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson is preparing for the second annual Stand Down event, aimed at supporting veterans and their families. The event will provide access to essential resources and services at no cost.

As per the Gwinnett County official website, the Stand Down event at OneStop Norcross tomorrow will feature a special car showcase along with food distribution, health screenings, and flu and COVID-19 vaccines to support veterans. Veterans and their families are also welcome to come by for haircuts.

Chairwoman Hendrickson will be joined by speakers like retired Lt. Col. and District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins III, along with representatives from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.

The event, running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. aims to honor veterans and provide them with the support they deserve in a spirit of gratitude.
