
The Henderson Police Department is currently investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that tragically claimed the life of the rider. According to a statement from the City of Henderson, the incident took place on Wednesday, near the intersection of Emden Drive and Sunset View Avenue. Emergency responders from the City of Henderson Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:43pm upon receiving reports of the collision.
Investigators have found that the motorcycle, a burgundy 2021 Harley-Davidson, was heading down Mariposa towards Emden when the driver, for reasons not yet understood, veered off the road. This led to the rider being ejected from the bike and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Both speed and impairment are being considered as potential contributing factors to the accident. The area was closed to traffic for around four hours to allow the authorities to securely conduct their investigation, as reported by the City of Henderson.
The accident has been recorded as the sixteenth traffic fatality related to automobiles in Henderson this year, marking a somber statistic for the community. At this stage of the inquiry, no further details have been released, with the investigation remaining active and ongoing, as per the City of Henderson.
