As the November election approaches, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will visit Portland, combining a literary event with her campaign activities. Clinton is set to appear at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall today at 7 p.m. to promote her new book, "Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love and Liberty," KGW reports. The book event is expected to take the audience on a journey discussing a range of topics, including the foundations of politics and democracy, as well as personal themes such as aging and companionship
With her 77th birthday approaching on Saturday, the former presidential candidate remains active. After endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president in July, Clinton has been attending key campaign events with Harris. Portlanders may recall a previous event nearly five years ago at Revolution Hall, where Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, presented their joint publication alongside Portland author Cheryl Strayed, as detailed by KOIN.
Clinton's book tour is scheduled to visit key cities shortly before the election, including Atlanta, Detroit, New York City, and Tampa, as indicated in the tour schedule.
