
On Wednesday, a violent assault occurred at Grimes Field, resulting in significant head injuries for the victim. Local officers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of four individuals—two adults and two juveniles—who are all implicated in the incident. The adults, Joseph Tsepas, 21, of Hillsboro, and Blake Drew, 18, of Henniker, face several felony charges, including 1st Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Riot.
The victim was ambushed and assaulted with a metal baseball bat, as per the initial information released by law enforcement. After being struck in the head, the victim received prompt medical attention at Concord Hospital and fortunately avoided life-threatening injuries. Following the incident, Tsepas and Drew were taken to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections, where they remained until their initial court appearances, each facing a cash bail of $5,000.
Details from the Hillsboro NH Police Department through a Facebook post indicated that this violent episode took place just before 10:00 p.m. The quick response from detectives led to the capture and subsequent arrests. While the identities of the juveniles involved are protected from public disclosure, Tsepas and Drew are not granted the same anonymity under the law.
Before the 6th Circuit Court – Hillsborough, the accused received their verdicts and bail was set.
