The City of Kennesaw is preparing to host a celebration to honor the courage and service of military members, offering a complimentary lunch for veterans and active-duty personnel. The community event will unfold at noon on Nov. 9, at the Ben Robertson Community Center, located at 2753 Watts Drive.
Kennesaw is offering a free meal to honor the sacrifices made by military members, with no prior registration required, making it an accessible opportunity for veterans to be recognized. Mayor Derek Easterling and Raymond Fordyce, chairman of the Cobb County Civil Service Board, will provide remarks that acknowledge the past and encourage community service. The North Cobb-Harrison NJROTC Unit will also participate by presenting the colors during the ceremony.
The support and sponsorship coming from local institutions such as Copeland's of New Orleans and the North Cobb Rotary Club highlight the collaborative spirit and respect for the military community in Kennesaw.
