A 29-year-old Kent woman has been apprehended by local police in connection to a stabbing incident that left a 42-year-old man with multiple wounds; the suspect was taken into custody after a brief on-foot pursuit, the Kent Police Department (KPD) reported. The violent encounter occurred inside the victim's residence located near the intersection of 126th Ave. SE and SE 235th St., shortly before authorities received a 911 call during the early hours of October 3, where the man reported a stabbing by an unknown female assailant, FOX 13 Seattle indicated.
After being found lying in the street with multiple stab wounds by first responders who promptly began lifesaving efforts, the man was ultimately conveyed to a nearby hospital by Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority paramedics and, despite the severity of his injuries, managed to survive, according to the KPD; the following investigation spearheaded by Kent detectives in conjunction with the Special Investigations Unit, Crime Reduction Unit, and Valley SWAT led to locating the suspect traveling in her vehicle on October 7, around 11:30 a.m. iLoveKent reported that after the female returned to her residence officers made attempts to persuade her to surrender through loudspeaker announcements, but it became apparent that she had fled her home before their arrival, it culminated in her capture without further incident.
Moreover, the Kent officers obtained and executed a search warrant for the suspect's abode; the search concluded with no other individuals involved in the crime being located. The authorities have been able to identify the woman using photographic evidence from the scene, subsequent to which detectives are persistently gathering additional evidence and probing into the intricacies of what precipitated the assault, Kent Reporter stated.
