Hosted by the Las Cruces Public Libraries, this club is a space for those seeking serious literary discourse and a variety of readings, including both fiction and nonfiction. According to the City of Las Cruces, the next gathering will convene at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library's Kiva Room, located at 200 E. Picacho St.
While the Branigan Book Club typically meets the fourth Tuesday of each month, October's session has a title slated for discussion that threads together the stories of twelve characters headed to the Big Oakland Powwow, namely “There There” by Tommy Orange. The Branigan Memorial Library, serving as the venue for the book club, has made the reading selection available for checkout by participants carrying a small collection of these books each month.
