Enriquez, who has transitioned from Las Cruces Fire Department Chief to Assistant City Manager and now to his current role as mayor, is set to field questions from the community in this digital town hall. According to the City of Las Cruces, individuals interested in having their questions addressed can submit them as comments on the LCPD’s Facebook page before the event.
Intending to foster greater understanding and cooperation between the police department and the citizens they serve, the Las Cruces Police Department’s monthly Bridging the Badge program provides a platform for open dialogue on critical local issues, their initiative is part of an ongoing series that takes place the last Tuesday of each month, each session aiming to last around an hour and stream live on LCPD's Facebook page and the City of Las Cruces’ YouTube channel. Mayor Enriquez's participation comes at a time when communities nationwide are seeking more transparency and engagement with law enforcement agencies.
