In a recent report, the San Jose Police Department has announced the arrest of 42-year-old Los Gatos resident Phillip Silva on charges related to a sexual assault that occurred earlier this year. According to a statement released today, the assault took place on June 10, within a business space on Lincoln Avenue, where Silva was offering massage services.
Silva's arrest came after an extensive investigation by the San José Police Department's Sexual Assault Investigations Unit (SAIU), which involved patrol officers and detectives who responded to a sexual assault report at approximately 4:13 PM. The victim was sexually assaulted during a session at Silva's business, as per the San Jose Police Department's news release. Following the initial response, detectives began a detailed investigation, which subsequently led to Silva's identification as the suspect and the issuing of an arrest warrant.
With the assistance of patrol officers, Silva was located and taken into custody last Thursday in San José. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on the sexual assault charge following his arrest.
