According to the official press release from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the deceased, a white adult male with brown and gray hair, mustache and a small beard, approximately 5'8" tall and weighing 165 pounds, was discovered early in the morning on Sunday. His body was found near Hidden Valley Road, clad in an orange long sleeve shirt, gray t-shirt, gray pants, and hiking shoes—details shared in hopes that someone might recognize the items and offer clues to his identity.
Adding to the complexity of the investigation, the unknown man was found suffering from apparent trauma and gunshot wounds. Among his personal effects were an orange Bayside Heavy Weight long sleeve shirt and gray Dickies pants, with blue socks and a pair of size 11.5 Keen Footwear hiking shoes, as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated in their update.
