
A man with multiple gunshot wounds was found in a burning car in Cahokia Heights, leading to a major investigation by police and the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis. The incident occurred late Tuesday night in the 5800 block of Mitchell Lane, where first responders discovered the victim in a crashed vehicle, according to First Alert 4.
According to the FOX 2 report, the incident occurred in an apartment complex parking lot where two vehicles collided, causing one car to catch fire. The Major Case Squad is leading the investigation into Williams' homicide. Responding officers and firefighters worked together to remove the victim from the burning car and quickly extinguished the flames.
Investigators from the Major Case Squad are working to identify those responsible for the violence against 48-year-old Lakarlo D. Williams, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a burning car in Cahokia Heights.
