
A stabbing incident in Northeast led to an arrest by the Metropolitan Police Department this Sunday. The attack occurred on 13th and H Street, Northeast, and was promptly responded to by officers on the scene just before 5 p.m. According to the MPD's release, they discovered a man suffering from stab wounds upon their arrival. The detectives' investigation pinpointed the scene of the stabbing to be in the 1500 block of Benning Road, Northeast.
The victim, whose identity was not disclosed in the MPD statement, was transported to a nearby hospital. His injuries were confirmed to be non-life-threatening. Even though the injuries were serious, officers were able to ascertain that they did not pose a threat to his life.
The suspect in the stabbing, Jeremiah Hall, age 38, with no fixed address, was arrested later that same evening. According to the MPD, Hall was taken into custody around 9:21 p.m. He is now facing charges for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
Details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the stabbing have not yet been made public. Hall, who is currently in custody of the MPD, is reported to have been arrested based on probable cause.
