This past Monday evening, the Atlanta Police Department received a call reporting a stabbing at 3699 Lenox Road NE. Officers arrived at the scene around 5:45PM to find a man with stab wounds, who was declared dead on the scene by medical staff, as per the official Atlanta Police Department report. He was found unresponsive, and despite the efforts to save him, the wounds proved fatal.
During the initial investigation, police detained 36-year-old Orlando Asprilla Largacha. Charged with murder and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, Atlanta PD emphasizes that "An arrest does not mean that the individual has been or will be convicted of the crime." With the presumption of innocence as the cornerstone, Largacha remains innocent until proven otherwise in court. The report detailed that the Homicide Unit is delving into the incident to unfold the sequence of events leading to the tragedy.
