A 46-year-old man is now hospitalized following a hit-and-run incident that occurred while he was sitting on a curb on San Antonio's West Side. The event unfolded just after 11 p.m. yesterday along South Laredo Street near Interstate 10, as per information released by FOX San Antonio.
The victim sustained serious injuries when a vehicle traveling westbound struck him. Authorities reported that the driver involved did not halt to render aid and instead fled the scene. The San Antonio Police Department is still in search for the perpetrator, and they have yet to provide a description of the suspected vehicle. The injured man was taken to a hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.
Investigations are continuing into the identity and location of the driver. As of now, it remains unclear whether the victim lived at the residence in front of which he was seated when the incident took place. Subsequent charges, according to an article from KSAT, are expected to be "collision causing serious bodily injury" once the driver is apprehended.
