According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the altercation began around 9:35 p.m. on the first block of West 79th Street, where the victim was involved in a physical argument with another individual on the bus. Upon exiting the vehicle, the confrontation continued, culminating in the suspect drawing a knife and injuring the man.
The Chicago Police, responding swiftly, apprehended the suspect at the scene while the injured party was transported by paramedics to the University of Chicago Medical Center.
