The Marietta City Council has announced a series of upcoming meetings that are open to the public. Residents will have the option to attend either in person or virtually. The first of these meetings, an agenda work session, is scheduled to take place next Thursday at 5:15 p.m., followed by an agenda review session on November 13 at 6:00 p.m. This session is a precursor to the Council’s regular meeting, which will commence at 7:00 p.m. on the same date. For those interested, meetings will be held in the City Council chamber located on the lobby level of City Hall, 205 Lawrence Street, Marietta, Georgia 30061.
According to an update on the city's official website, agendas for the meetings will be posted online ahead of time. Additionally, the proceedings will be broadcast live, ensuring transparency and accessibility for those unable to attend. Archived footage of the meetings will also be available for future viewing on the city's website.
The City Council has scheduled informal discussions after each meeting. This segment, held in the council chamber, aims to encourage casual dialogue and socializing, allowing attendees to engage with council members one-on-one. The goal is to improve communication and provide a space for community concerns to be heard in a relaxed setting.
