Commuters on the MBTA Green Line experienced a jarring incident yesterday evening when a man reportedly began assaulting passengers at the MFA Station. The MBTA Transit Police took to social media to report the situation, detailing that officers responded to the scene at approximately 6:40 PM. Despite the initial reports of assault, when law enforcement arrived, no victims came forward to detail the alleged crimes. However, witnesses had no trouble pointing out the man responsible for causing the disturbance.
The 40-year-old suspect, who remains unnamed, was arrested not directly for the assault charges due to a lack of victim reports, but rather for pre-existing warrants. His rap sheet includes past accusations ranging from assaulting a police officer to larceny. The MBTA Transit Police indicated on social media that the suspect was transported to TPD headquarters following the arrest.
