Following a Notice of Breach letter dispatched in late August, the City of Las Cruces has begun receiving documents from Memorial Medical Center (MMC), signaling a move towards compliance and cooperation as previously demanded by the City. These documents, part of an ongoing discourse between the medical establishment and municipal authorities, aim to address concerns and stipulations raised in the notice.
MMC's efforts to align with the City's demands have been noted, including their request for, and subsequent granting of, an extension which has been recognized as a testament to MMC's earnest efforts. "Memorial Medical Center’s team has been working collaboratively with the City of Las Cruces to provide documentation and meet the demands of the Notice of Breach letter," as obtained by the City of Las Cruces.
The provision of the requested documents marks the start of what is expected to be a thorough and transparent process, with both the City and Dona Ana County holding regular meetings with MMC. These gatherings are part of a concerted effort to ensure that all parties involved remain accountable and that the conditions of the notice are satisfactorily met.
