
The Memphis Police Department is actively seeking information about two suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred during a planned electronics sale. According to Action News 5, the incident took a dangerous turn following a Facebook Marketplace arrangement to sell a PlayStation. What was intended to be a simple sale escalated into an alleged gunpoint robbery on the evening of Wednesday on Meadowbrook Road near East Peebles Road.
The victim, expecting a straightforward transaction, was confronted with sudden violence when the supposed buyers produced a firearm and forcibly took the gaming console. According to FOX13 Memphis, officials confirmed that the suspects fled on foot after the incident. They remain at large, having escaped the scene quickly.
Memphis Police Department representatives voiced concerns about the growing risks associated with private sales initiated through online platforms. "Two suspects met with the victim and robbed him at gunpoint, taking the PlayStation," a statement from the department, as reported by Action News 5.
Police are seeking the community's assistance in resolving the case. The public is encouraged to come forward with any leads or information they may have. "If you have any idea who those men are, MPD urged you to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-2274," as stated by FOX13 Memphis.
