
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the community in locating a suspect involved in a recent sexual abuse case in Southeast D.C. According to an MPD press release, the incident took place on Saturday, October 19, around 7:41 p.m. when the suspect made an unwanted sexual contact with a woman who was walking her dog on the 400 block of 11th Street, SE.
MPD's description of the suspect is a black male in his mid-20s with a thin build. He was last seen dressed in a sweatshirt, sweatpants, which may have been hunter green, and wearing a tight beanie cap. The police have called on anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that individuals should not approach the suspect but rather contact authorities directly.
Citizens with information relevant to this case are encouraged to either call the MPD at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to the Department's text tip line at 50411. In a bid to motivate community participation, the Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons found responsible for the offense. Such incentives are part of MPD's efforts to establish partnerships with community members in addressing and preventing crime.
