
The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for a vehicle linked to a recent shooting in Southeast D.C. The incident occurred last Sunday, leaving one man injured, the department reported.
Around 3:40 p.m. on October 27, MPD officers were called to the 2200 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. There, an adult male was discovered, conscious and breathing, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Transported to a local hospital, the victim received care for injuries that were thankfully deemed non-life-threatening.
The vehicle in question was caught on surveillance footage near the scene. The MPD has released photos of the vehicle, encouraging the public's help in identifying it. Anyone with information is advised not to approach or engage but to contact the police.
"The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia," the MPD statement read.
