Minneapolis is celebrating the launch of "Hiawatha Links," a project to revamp the Hiawatha Golf Course. It aims to enhance the golf experience while honoring its history and promoting sustainability, as reported by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board.
Hiawatha Links builds on the vision from the Hiawatha Golf Course Plan by providing detailed designs and enhancing community engagement around specific elements. The project will integrate all components while honoring the site’s history, ecology, and regulatory guidelines, the MPRB detailed.
There's a veritable who's who of design and engineering firms brought on board to spearhead this development. Damon Farber Landscape Architects lead the pack, with the support of others like Brandon Johnson Golf Course Design, HDR Engineering, and not forgetting Aune Fernandez Landscape Architects, among various specialists from fields including wetland restoration to cultural resource management, as per MPRB.
