
The Oakland community breathed a sigh of relief when the Oakland Police Department announced on social media that Mikala King and her son, King Scott, who had been reported missing, had been safely located.
The pair was last seen last Tuesday, and their whereabouts have been a concern for law enforcement and residents alike. The Oakland Police Department thanked the community and media partners for their help in the search.

During the search, information provided by the Oakland Police highlighted that Mikala is a 29-year-old Black female, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. King, her son, was described as a 5-year-old Black male, about 3 feet tall and weighing 35 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. According to the OPD, the mother and son were last seen in good physical and mental condition before being found, as per Hoodline.
