The Scottsdale community breathes a sigh of relief as 62-year-old Janet Taylor, who was reported missing since Thursday, October 24, 2024, has been located according to a recent update from the Scottsdale Police Department. Taylor, last seen at 9003 East Shea Blvd in Scottsdale, AZ, had been the subject of a Silver Alert—a public notification system to broadcast information about missing persons, especially senior citizens with Alzheimer's disease, dementia or other mental disabilities deemed at risk.
Janet Taylor, described as a white female with red hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, was reportedly last seen driving her Silver 2019 Nissan Frontier Pickup truck with Arizona plates CTW3091; however, the updated status on the Arizona Department of Public Safety's Silver Alert page has not released details of her condition upon being found or where she was located. Scottsdale PD had expressed particular concern for Janet because she suffers from a medical condition that could cause confusion or make her easily lost.
During her disappearance, Janet was described to be wearing an orange and green horizontal striped blouse with white jeans, her disappearance triggered a vital community response, with the notice shared across various media outlets and social platforms. The investigating agency, Scottsdale Police Department, had urged anyone with information to come forward and provided a point of contact, assuring anonymity and emphasizing the urgency due to her medical condition.
