
Residents of Morrison County can look forward to a week packed with county commissioner meetings, spanning a range of topics from public health to local infrastructure. According to a public notice released by the Morrison County Board of Commissioners, the meetings set from October 13, through October 19, 2024, are open to the public except for specific sessions that might require individual invitations or have limited access due to the nature of the discussion.
The schedule begins early on October 14, with an 8:00 a.m. AMC District 5 Meeting at the Crow Wing County Land Services Building in Brainerd, MN, where regional matters will be discussed. Later that day, at 3:30 p.m., the Yellow Ribbon event is slated to take place at the Little Falls Legion, Little Falls, MN, supporting military service members, and their families. The day of October 15 sees a busy schedule starting with an 8:30 am planning session followed by a 9:00 am Drainage Authority meeting, both taking place in the County Board Room at the Government Center in Little Falls, MN. In the same vein, the PC/BOA will convene at 6:00 pm in the same location, a continuation, of the day's agenda.
The following day introduces a variation in format, with a virtual meeting by Hands of Hope set for 5:00 p.m., while simultaneously, the Public Health Advisory convenes in the usual County Board Room. A late addition to that evening is the Township Annual Meeting, occurring at 7:00 p.m. at the Government Center, an event crucial for local governance and community planning. On October 17, there is another dual scheduling at 10:00 a.m. for the CM O&O meeting held virtually and at 12:00 p.m. the Airport Commission gathers at the airport in Little Falls.
To wrap up the week's events, the Morrison County Agricultural Society will convene at the fairgrounds at Little Falls, at 7:00 p.m., discussing matters pertaining to local agronomy and fair initiatives.
