
A 31-year-old woman was shot while driving with her two children, ages 9 and 2, in the back seat. The incident occurred on Friday in the 2700 block of Accomac. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the woman identified the shooter as the 33-year-old father of one of her children.
The report detailed that the woman suffered two apparent gunshot wounds during the encounter. Both children, who were present in the car, sustained minor injuries from broken glass resulting from the shooting. The assailant, a 33-year-old man, is still at large after evading police following the attack, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers from District 3 were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m. The wounded mother was able to tell authorities the identity of the shooter. The Domestic Abuse Response Team is leading the investigation into this domestic violence case. The police have not yet released any information about the suspect's whereabouts or identity.
