
Tragedy struck Antioch on Monday evening when a 34-year-old Nashville woman was fatally shot near Mill Creek Greenway, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation by metro police. WKRN reported that the shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the Mill Creek Greenway off Old Hickory Boulevard and the victim was later pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center due to her injuries.

According to WSMV, the woman was discovered shot at the entrance of a walking trail in Mill Run Park. Police have released information indicating that the suspect is male and fled the scene in a gray four-door sedan. Efforts to locate the victim's family are ongoing, and the metro police are urging anyone with knowledge of the gray sedan to come forward with information.
