In a recent call for community assistance, the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has publicized their search for a suspect in a brazen burglary case. The NOPD reports that the crime occurred at a local fire station when the crew was out answering a call. Last Friday, the unnamed suspect allegedly made an unlawful entry into the New Orleans Fire Department station located in the 14000 block of Morrison Road, and proceeded to illegally take various items. The details of this incident were outlined in a report shared by the NOPD News.
The burglary appears to have been strategically timed to fully exploit the absence of fire personnel, who were occupied attending to their duties of emergency response. By striking at approximately 6:00 p.m., the perpetrator made certain to swiftly carry out their objective. The NOPD provided a photograph of the individual suspected in the robbery, actively seeking help from locals to pinpoint their identity.
In an ongoing effort to bring the suspect to justice, police officials are turning to the community to gather any useful information that might lead to an arrest. Law enforcement is encouraging anyone who can offer any leads – anonymously if preferred – to contact the Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070. Alternatively, tips can be submitted to Crimestoppers anonymously at 504-822-1111 or through their website.
