
A late-night driving maneuver to avoid a collision led to an unexpected turn of events on the North Side of San Antonio. According to KENS5, a pickup truck veered off the road in an attempt to dodge another car, subsequently careening into a resident's home near Blossom Athletic Center, close to the airport. This incident unfolded just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on Magnolia Blossom near the SAPD North substation on Jones Maltsberger Road.
Driving past another vehicle, the driver swerved, and in doing so, the truck hopped a curb and plowed through a fence before making its unsolicited visit to the back of a house. Fox San Antonio reports there were no injuries, and amidst the commotion, no charges have been reported as filed yet by officials.
Authorities who arrived at the scene confirmed that there was no sign of intoxication involved in the accident. While the incident had the potential for serious consequences, police confirmed that fortunately, no one was injured when the vehicle abruptly entered the property.
In the aftermath, heavy rescue firefighters were called to the scene to assess and secure the structural integrity of the impacted house. They focused on reinforcing the house to ensure it was structurally sound, preventing any additional damage to the residence. As the investigation progresses, clean-up efforts have commenced at the site of the crash, located off Magnolia Blossom near Wurzbach Parkway.
